Mysteriously hot summerdayz in Melbourne

Just lying in a city park on the hill in the grass, letting my feet be touched by the sun. Enjoying summer. It's a sudden jump into a long expected summer happy atmosphere of this kind I know from home. With a smell of trees, of green, empty hot streets of a city waiting until sunset to get fulfilled. People find their favourite tree and grass space to lie on with a book or notebook. They just stop the rush and enjoy a meditative break in the city.
But today is different than any other day. We have the first day of a new year, and we reunite with the other half of the Smirnoff Ten – from the Sydney versus Melbourne New Years Eve Challenge.... at Melbourne 'Summerdayz' festival.
In a huge city park in 42 degree heat with thousands of people and many smaller and bigger stages, we The Smirnoff Ten had our amazing Smirnoff Ice igloo. Of course not made out of ice, just a designed igloo, with sophisticated bar and best barman, dancing space for about 100 people and a small DJ booth over the bar. The DJ booth which appeared to be the source of great surprises... One of the greatest was Sister Bliss mixing a live act. It felt absolutely special to be there as we were a very small audience... We danced for many hours, enjoying the company of so many wonderful people...
